THE CLASSIC TRACTION REVIEW 2014 is a twin volume DVD set that reviews some of the finest steam and diesel action from around the country, as filmed by the Classic Traction Team. This twin pack edition begins in April 2014, where we review the epic 'Great Britain VII' charter over the former Southern 'Waterloo' route hauled by 34046 Braunton, we then see Class 52 'Western' D1015 Western Champion masquarading as long scrapped sister D1017 Western Warrior on a charter to Paignton, before reviewing the return of SR 'West Country' 34007 Wadebridge to the Bodmin & Wenford. In Volume II, we see D1015 Western Champion work to Penzance, review all the action from the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Diesel Gala, which included Class 20 D8137, Class 24 5081, Class 26 D5343, Class 37/0 37215, Class 45/1 'Peak' 45149 and visiting Class 35 'Hymek' D7017. Next, we review the 40 mile narrow gauge wonder that is the Festiniog & Welsh Highland Railway, review the 'Taffy Tug II' charter which visited the Maesteg and Tower Colliery lines using Class 60s 60039 and 60040, the 'Cornish Explorer' charter to Parkandillack, and the Bodmin & Wenford Diesel Gala, the highlight of which was the first ever visit of a Class 56 to the Bodmin branch!
